Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: August 11, 2026

Welcome to CA Garage Doors Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (cagaragedoors.ca) and all services we provide, including garage door, automatic opener, front entry door, and window installation, repair, and maintenance in Ontario.

By requesting a quote, booking an appointment, approving an estimate, making a payment, or using our services or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Warranty Policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our website or services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on our website with the most recent effective date applies.

2. Services

We provide residential and commercial garage door, opener, front door, and window installation, repair, and related services in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding Ontario communities.

All work is performed by trained technicians. Service descriptions on our website are general; the exact scope of work is confirmed in the estimate or work order.

3. Quotes and Estimates

  • Quotes and estimates are free and are valid for the period stated, usually 30 days unless otherwise noted.
  • Final pricing may change if additional work, parts, or conditions are discovered during service. We will inform you and obtain approval before proceeding with additional work that increases the price.
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes (HST) unless stated otherwise.

4. Pricing, Taxes and Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of the service unless other arrangements are agreed in writing in advance.
  • We accept cash, debit, credit card, and e-transfer.
  • Deposits may be required for new door installations, special-order parts, or large commercial jobs.
  • Late payments may incur additional fees. Unpaid invoices may result in collection action and additional service charges.
  • All applicable taxes, including HST, will be added as required by law.

5. Deposits and Special / Custom Orders

  • A deposit may be required to secure scheduling or to order special or custom doors, panels, or parts.
  • Special-order, custom-size, or specially manufactured doors, panels, and parts are generally non-refundable and non-cancellable once the order has been placed with the manufacturer, regardless of installation status.
  • If a special-order item is cancelled after ordering, where cancellation is still possible, restocking or cancellation fees charged by the manufacturer will be the customer’s responsibility.

6. Scheduling, Access, Cancellations and No-Shows

  • You must provide clear, safe, and reasonable access to the work area. Someone 18 years of age or older should be present or arrangements must be made for access.
  • Please ensure the work area is free of obstacles, vehicles, and personal items that could interfere with the work or create a safety hazard.
  • Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice, or as otherwise agreed, may incur a service call or cancellation fee.
  • If our technician arrives and cannot perform the work due to lack of access, the job site not being ready, or other customer-side issues, a service call fee may apply.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather, supply issues, emergencies, or safety concerns.
  • For warranty service calls, if the customer is not home after reasonable attempts, a service call charge may apply.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the property and the issue being serviced.
  • Maintain the garage door system according to manufacturer guidelines after service.
  • Not allow unauthorized persons to modify, adjust, or repair work performed by us during any warranty period. Doing so may void the workmanship warranty.
  • Keep the path of the door clear of obstacles, including boxes, tools, vehicles, sports equipment, ice, debris, and other items. Damage or cable issues caused by obstructions are not covered under warranty.

8. Warranties

All warranties are detailed in our separate Warranty Policy, available at cagaragedoors.ca/warranty or provided with your invoice.

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost time, business interruption, loss of use, or property damage beyond the scope of the work we performed.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing structural, electrical, or building issues, or for damage caused by the customer’s failure to maintain the system or keep the path of the door clear.
